Bridge Point Capital Co-hosted 2019 SAPA Healthcare Investment Forum & Roadshow

Founding Partner of Bridge Point Capital, Mark Young, Accepting The Community Service Excellence Award

Bridge Point Capital co-hosted the 2nd Annual Healthcare Investment Forum & Roadshow with Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association (“SAPA”, http://sapaweb.org) on the 14th and 15th of June, 2019. The two-day event offered an exclusive opportunity for Bridge Point Capital to share its vision in Sino-American healthcare investment, as well as to exchange investment views with multitudinous healthcare and investment institutions from across America.
The 2019 SAPA Healthcare Investment Forum & Roadshow strives to establish a conducive platform for the interaction and cooperation between healthcare corporations and investment institutions. It also aims to promote business partnerships within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, offer an up-to-date trend and outlook of life-science investment, and facilitate cross-border investment and understanding of regulatory barriers in this new business era.

Mark Young Speaking at The Fireside Chat

Riding on changing investment landscapes and the success of the previous forum, the 2019 Forum was expanded into a 2-day program and was hosted in Somerset, New Jersey, as well in New York City at the University of Columbia respectively. Three keynote speeches were made on the topics of venture capital strategies in pharmaceuticals and life sciences, trending development in the healthcare space and entrepreneurial sharing of healthcare start-ups. These were followed by fireside chat sessions with successful entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and lawyers, in which they discussed cross-border investment outlooks against the larger backdrop in Sino-US political development and financing strategies for American start-ups.
One key highlight of the event was the addition of an investment roadshow on the second day, in which dozens of investment opportunities across all stages of development were presented to interested investors. Entrepreneur clinics and private 1-on-1 investment sessions were also held to serve as a conduit for direct communications between start-ups, advisors and investors.
Throughout the two-day event, Bridge Point Capital was able to contribute to the ongoing discussions on investment strategies in the healthcare space, offering its expertise and advice on cross-border transactions, integration and expansion for healthcare corporations.  In addition, we continued to establish relationships and networks with healthcare professionals and other investment institutions. Bridge Point Capital hopes to continue to strengthen its relationship with SAPA, and looks forward to future opportunities of collaboration with the association.
